Is there a shuttle service from the station?
A free shuttle bus operates from JR Ogoto Onsen Station (13:30–19:00). When you arrive at the station, please call our toll-free number 0120-4126-15. We will pick you up in about 5 minutes. If you are coming from the Osaka area, please get off at JR Hiei-Sansakamoto Station on the new rapid train.

Are there rooms with private open-air baths?
The "Hanare Yoshi-Io" floor (10 rooms total) consists entirely of rooms with private open-air baths. Opened in summer 2013, all rooms offer views of Lake Biwa, which is popular. The 7th floor suite "Kotone" is also a special room where you can enjoy meals in the in-room dining area.

We have a sauna. You can use it along with the public bath and open-air bath during your stay.
What types of baths are available?
You can enjoy bathing at 7 different bathing areas, including the open-air bath "Yugen-Shōyō" with a natural atmosphere, the spectacular top-floor open-air bath "Gesshin no Yu" overlooking Lake Biwa, and 2 private open-air baths. All rooms in "Hanare Yoshi-Io" come with private open-air baths.
What is the water quality of Ogoto Hot Spring like?
Ogoto Hot Spring, said to have been opened by Saichō about 1,200 years ago, is a weakly alkaline simple hot spring. It is known as the "beauty spring" with a smooth feel on the skin, and is promoted for its benefits in relieving fatigue, neuralgia, and joint pain.

We serve kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) featuring seasonal ingredients from Ōmi. The main focus is on "Certified Ōmi Beef," a brand beef with 400 years of history, complemented by dishes made with local ingredients. Breakfast is served buffet-style (Dining Yamazakura) from May 2024 onwards.
