Are you open in winter? Do I need to be careful with access?
We are open year-round. However, Takayama Onsen receives heavy snow in winter, so studless tires or tire chains are required. If using the complimentary shuttle bus, advance reservation is necessary.

Are there special facilities in the thatched-roof bathhouse?
The thatched-roof bathhouse Tamagogo, which retains the character of the original facility from Meiji 1 (1868), has no shower, spigot, or rinse-off water facilities. The same applies to the open-air rock bath Tenkeino Yu and other outdoor baths in the garden.
What is the spring quality and mineral content of the hot spring?
Acidic sulfur-containing calcium and aluminium sulfate hot spring (hydrogen sulfide type) with a water temperature of approximately 48°C. It is 100% pure source water with no added water, heating, or recirculation. It is effective for neuralgia, rheumatism, skin conditions, and cuts. The spring is characterised by its milky white cloudiness and is said to leave the skin feeling silky smooth.
How many types of baths are there?
There are 7 bathing areas: the thatched-roof bathhouse Tamagogo, the open-air rock bath Tenkeino Yu, the large public bath Takinoyu, the indoor bath Senki no Yu, and the private open-air bath Senone, among others.

Is there a shuttle bus?
We operate a shuttle bus from the west exit of JR Fukushima Station (advance reservation required). Pickups depart from Fukushima Station west exit at 14:30, and drop-offs depart from the inn at 10:00. Since other guests may be on board, please observe the departure times strictly.

Multi-night stays are recommended by the facility. With abundant natural surroundings and diverse bathing facilities, you can enjoy a leisurely stay for thermal spa treatment and rest.

We have 50 Japanese-style rooms, all facing the natural garden. The garden is dotted with small bathhouses and open-air baths where you can fully experience the hot spring atmosphere.
