How do I get there from central Tokushima?
About 35 minutes by car from central Tokushima. It is a satoyama hot spring that could be called Tokushima's inner parlour, where you can get away from everyday bustle and relax.

What sort of hot spring is Kamiyama Onsen?
It is a sacred spring said long ago to have been granted by a celestial maiden, and has long been loved by local people as a healing bath. A distinctive feature is the tatami-floored bath, soft underfoot and not slippery, combining practicality with Japanese calm.

What sights are there nearby?
Kamiyama Town is known as a town of art, farming and IT, with art events and cafes and workshops run by people who have moved there. Using Kamiyama Onsen as a base to experience satoyama culture is also worth considering.
What is there to enjoy in each season?
Mountain wildflowers and cherry blossom in spring, fresh green and cool air in summer, autumn leaves, and snow in winter: you can enjoy the satoyama through the year along with the hot spring. The windows of the bathing hall also look onto the seasonal scenery.
