Check-in is 15:00 and check-out is 10:00.

Are there convenience stores or supermarkets nearby?
There are no convenience stores or pharmacies near the inn; the nearest are in the Hinatayama area, about 7 minutes away by car. We recommend bringing anything you need with you.

What sightseeing spots are nearby?
There is plenty to see, including the scenic areas of Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park, Kirishima Shrine, Kagoshima Shrine and many hot spring areas. The inn is also close to Kagoshima Airport, making it a convenient base.

What room types are there?
There are detached Japanese rooms such as Yuraku, Suimei and Kawagiri, along with detached Japanese-Western rooms. The Sansuiso annexe has six further rooms.
How many detached rooms are there?
There are 13 detached rooms with their own open-air bath. Each has its own indoor and open-air bath supplied continuously from the source, for hot spring bathing entirely to yourself.

If you book by 17:00 the previous day, you may come for lunch or dinner and use the large open-air bath and indoor baths.

How many baths are there?
We have four sources of our own and 11 bathing areas and open-air baths in total, including the large open-air bath Enoki-no-Yu and the Kizu-yu. All are fed continuously from the source and available 24 hours a day.
What is the Kizu-yu?
It is a celebrated spring that rises naturally at Orihashi Ryokan alone among the inns of Myoken Onsen, at a mild 33 degrees Celsius. It is well regarded for insect bites and atopic skin, and is used at 100 per cent from the source, available 24 hours a day.

Can I look round the Taisho-era building?
The main building, from the inn's founding in 1879, remains as it was in the Taisho era, with original fittings throughout. Guests are free to walk around the building.

We serve a monthly kaiseki menu using local ingredients bought in each month, with seasonal produce carefully prepared.

There is parking within the grounds. Guests in the riverside detached rooms may park in front of their room, and those in the hillside rooms may use the main car park.
