Can you collect me from Kirishima-Jingu Station?
We do not collect guests directly from Kirishima-Jingu Station, but if you come by bus or otherwise to the Maruo bus stop we will collect you from there. Please contact us if the bus times do not work for you.
How do I get there from Kagoshima Airport?
About 25 minutes by car or 30 minutes by local bus from Kagoshima Airport (1 minute's walk from the Yanagidaira bus stop). From Kirishima-Jingu Station it is 15 minutes by car; if you come as far as the Maruo bus stop we will collect you (please contact us in advance).

Check-in is 15:00-19:00 and check-out is 10:00. Times may differ by plan, so please check your booking.

What sights are there nearby?
Kirishima Shrine, Takachihonomine, Maruo Falls and Takachihogawara are all about 15-20 minutes away by car. Kirishima Shrine is popular as a spiritual site, and the mountain trails run through fine natural scenery.

How many rooms are there, and what types?
It is a small inn with 13 rooms, Japanese-style and Japanese-Western. Some rooms have steps, so please contact the front desk in advance if stairs are difficult for you.

What kind of hot spring water is it?
It is a simple sulphur spring. All four baths, two open-air and two indoor, are used privately. They are not booked; you simply use whichever is free.
Do I need to book the private baths?
The private baths are not booked; you use whichever is free at the time. In busy periods you may have to wait, so please bear with us.
Can I bathe without staying overnight?
Day bathing is available 11:00-14:00, at 500 yen for adults and 250 yen for children (subject to change; we recommend telephoning in advance).

We serve creative kaiseki courses making the most of the produce of the satoyama, and our pride is richly flavoured local dishes using seasonal ingredients.

How do I get there?
