How do I get there from Matsuyama?
About 1 hour by car from central Matsuyama via National Route 33. The inn is in the mountains of Kumakogen Town, where public transport is limited, so we recommend coming by car.

Yes. The inn sits in the middle of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage route, making it a convenient base for temple 45, Iwayaji, and temple 44, Daihoji. Many pilgrims stay with us.

What kind of hot spring is Furuiwaya Onsen?
It is a historic spring said to have flowed since the Yoshino Court period. The rock baths are built from natural stone, and the water is known for its effect on the skin, feeling smooth and soft.

What sightseeing spots are nearby?
Temple 45, Iwayaji, set against a sheer cliff, and temple 44, Daihoji, of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage are close by. Kumakogen Town is also surrounded by natural attractions such as the Shikoku Karst and Omogo Gorge.
