What should I be aware of when driving in winter?
During winter (roughly November to April each year), there is heavy snow around the Shirahone hot spring area and road surfaces may freeze. Please equip your vehicle with studless tyres or chains before arriving during this period.
Can I get there by train and bus?
You can reach us by a combination of train and bus. Please use the local bus services for the Kamikochi and Norikura areas. Please note that bus services are reduced during winter, so we recommend checking the bus schedule in advance.

What facilities and amenities are provided in the guest rooms?
Rooms include a TV, telephone, safe, refrigerator, hair dryer, electric kettle, tea set, and washlet toilet. Amenities include liquid soap, toothbrush set, razor, comb, brush, towels, bath towels, yukata, and cosmetics for men and women.
Do guest rooms have baths or air conditioning?
Guest rooms do not have baths or air conditioning. In summer, only fans are provided, allowing you to enjoy the cool breeze from the mountains. Please use the indoor bath or private open-air bath for bathing.
How many rooms does the inn have? What types of rooms are available?
We have 10 rooms. These include the detached cottage Zabouan (relocated historic house), the bed-type room Jisseki, Japanese-style rooms Kasumisawa, Norikura, Tsubaki, Kochou, and Karin, and renovated Japanese modern twin rooms (8-tatami with 2 rooms, and 8-tatami with 3 rooms).

How do I book the private open-air bath?
Reservations for the private open-air bath are accepted at the front desk upon arrival. If you wish to use it, please let us know at check-in.
What are the hot spring bathing hours?
The indoor bath is available from check-in time until 24:00, and from 05:00 to 09:30 the next morning. The private open-air bath is available from check-in time until 22:00, and from 06:00 to 09:30 the next morning. Reservations for the private open-air bath are accepted at check-in.
What kind of hot spring water is it?
You can enjoy the renowned Shirahone hot spring water, which has long been said to prevent colds for three years if you bathe in it for three days. The gently sulfurous water can also be drunk. We have an indoor bath (separate for men and women) and a private open-air bath.
Can I use the hot spring without staying overnight?
We regret to inform you that we do not offer day-use bathing services. The hot spring is available only to overnight guests. Thank you for your understanding.

What kind of food is served?
We offer kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) featuring local Shinshū ingredients and seasonal colours. You can also enjoy creative dishes such as "hot spring shabu-shabu" and "hot spring rice porridge" made with our drinkable hot spring water. Meals are served at tables and chairs in the dining area.
What should I do if I have food allergies?
