How do I get to Yuki Sasa no Yu from Echigo-Yuzawa Station?
Take the bus bound for Asakai or Naeba Prince Hotel from bay 1 at the east exit of JR Echigo-Yuzawa Station and get off right at the Asakai-shita or Asakai stop. By car it is about 25 minutes from Echigo-Yuzawa IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway.

Can I use it when skiing or snowboarding?
The facility is close to Naeba ski resort, and many guests call in for a bath or stay overnight on their way back from the slopes. In winter you can also bathe in the open air amid the snow.

Do I need to bring my own amenities?
Towels, toothbrushes and similar amenities are not included in the accommodation plans. Please bring your own, or buy or hire them at the front desk. Face towels, bath towels and yukata can also be hired for a fee by day visitors.

There is a foot bath for pets outside the building (unavailable in winter), which guests arriving with a pet may use.

What are the hours during the Fuji Rock Festival?
During the Fuji Rock Festival, around the end of July, we are open 24 hours, so you can come whenever suits you. Please note that it is very busy during the festival.

Can I come with children?
Yes, children are welcome. The source water is strong, but we use source number 3 (at Naeba, close in composition to human body fluids), which does not tire you even after a long soak, so children can bathe safely.

Can I use it both for the day and overnight?
It is mainly a day-use bathing facility but also takes overnight guests. There are several room types — Japanese, Western, private and large shared rooms — suiting everyone from solo travellers to groups and club camps. It is used as a base for skiing and snowboarding, climbing and trekking, and events such as Fuji Rock.

What kinds of baths are there?
There is an indoor bath and an open-air bath, both with the brown cloudy water used at 100 per cent from the source. In winter you can bathe in the open air amid the snow.
What are the qualities and colour of the water?
The source water is colourless and clear, but it is rich in minerals (iron and salt) and turns brown on contact with the air, becoming a cloudy bath. The water is strong enough to stain towels, and is known to help with atopic dermatitis, dry skin and muscle pain. It is used at 100 per cent, flowing continuously from the source.

There is a foot bath outside the building, plus a separate foot bath for pets (both unavailable in winter). Please feel free to use them.

There is a dining room, open seasonally. The Naeba area has few places to eat, so we recommend checking the official website in advance. Overnight guests may also want to check nearby restaurants beforehand.
