Can I make a reservation in a foreign language?
Reservations by phone are available in Japanese only. We cannot accept English-language phone reservations. Foreign guests are requested to make reservations through our website's English-language reservation page.

How do I get there?

How many guest rooms are there and what types are available?
We have 15 Japanese-style rooms (with bath and toilet). The main building and annex offer rooms with different characteristics, accommodating up to 82 guests.

Do you have rooms for banquets or meetings?
We have two large halls (40 tatami each), two medium halls (8 and 6 tatami), and a multipurpose hall "Kiraku" which can be used for dining, banquets, meetings and other purposes.
What is the history of this ryokan?
This is a historic ryokan founded in Meiji 25 (1892). The main building, a three-storey wooden structure completed in Taisho 10 (1921), is designated as a Registered Cultural Property of Japan. Historic design elements from the Taisho era remain throughout, including the original staircase and decorative trowel work by skilled plasterers.
Are there spaces in the building where I can eat or rest?
There is a guest-only rest area called "Yamaboshi" next to the entrance. You can relax while listening to the stream. We also have a gift shop available.

Do you have a private bath?
We have a cave bath that has been used as the original hot spring since the ryokan's opening, which is now available as a private bath.
Can I use the observation open-air bath anytime?
The observation open-air bath closes during winter. Additionally, there may be periods when the observation bath is unavailable, so please check the latest information before making a reservation.
What types of hot springs do you have?
We have a men's large bath, a women's large bath, an open-air bath for each, an original cave bath (private), and an observation open-air bath (closed in winter). The spring is a sodium chloride hydrogen sulfide spring, suitable for neuralgia, skin conditions, and rheumatism.

What kind of cuisine is served?
We serve dishes made with local ingredients such as Obanazawa beef and carp. You can enjoy flavours unique to this region, with each ingredient's umami brought out to the fullest.
