Which is the nearest station, and how long does it take?
About 3-5 minutes' walk from JR Onuma-Koen Station. From central Hakodate it is about 30 minutes by car, and about 40 minutes from Hakodate Airport.

Are there activities such as canoeing?
There is a plan to take a canoe from the lakeside terrace and enjoy Lake Onuma (adults 8,800 yen, elementary school children 6,600 yen, including coffee; not available below elementary school age). Cycling round the lake (about 14 km, about 1 hour 30 minutes) is also recommended.
