How do I get there from Yamagata Station?
Take the bus for Zao Onsen from JR Yamagata Station, alight at the last stop, the Zao Onsen bus terminal, and walk about 3-5 minutes (a pick-up is available). The journey takes about 45 minutes.

Can I ski in winter?
Yes, the hotel is in the centre of Zao Onsen, just 1 minute's walk from the Nakamori slopes. There is also a drying room for ski gear.
What activities are there?
More than 50 activities are available at the properties of the Meito Ichimon Takamiya group and around Zao. The location makes trekking in summer and skiing in winter easy, and the Zao Central Ropeway is right outside.

What kind of hot spring water is it?
It is the most strongly acidic sulphur water in Zao Onsen, used straight from the source. Famous as a beautifying bath, it leaves the skin smooth. The cloudy, milky-white water has been called a natural serum.
Can I visit the baths at the group's other hotels?
You can use the hot springs at the Meito Ichimon Takamiya group's properties in Zao free of charge.
