How do I get there from Yokote Station?
About 15 minutes by local bus from JR Yokote Station, alighting right at the terminus, Akita Furusato Mura. By car, turn left immediately after leaving Yokote IC on the Akita Expressway. Access is excellent.

There are plenty of places to eat Akita's local dishes, including Inaniwa udon, Yokote yakisoba and Hinai chicken. The Furusato Ichiba souvenir shop also sells local sake, specialities and folk crafts.

There is plenty for children: the Spacia planetarium, the trick art at Wonder Castle and the outdoor Wanpaku Hiroba with its large play equipment. As most facilities are indoors, families with infants can visit with confidence.
