We operate a complimentary shuttle bus from JR Kurayoshi Station (between 14:30–18:00, advance reservation required). Please contact the ryokan for details.

What kind of rooms do you have?
Our spacious rooms are built in a traditional Japanese style with an atmospheric charm. Views from the windows overlook the clear Mitoku River and the garden. The rooms are primarily authentic Japanese-style rooms that have maintained a serene atmosphere since the Taisho period.

When was the ryokan founded? What is its history?
Founded in 1920 (Taisho 9), we have over 100 years of history. This is a prestigious ryokan where Emperor Showa, Empress Kojun, members of the Imperial family, and many literary figures including Tayama Katai, Shimazaki Toson, Saito Mokichi, and the Yosano couple have stayed. You can view historical items in our in-house gallery 'Gallery Iwasaki'.

How many baths do you have?
We offer 12 large and small public baths of different styles, outdoor baths, and a radium steam bath (mist sauna). These bathhouses are in harmony with the circulating garden and feature a relaxing atmosphere.

What kind of spring is the radium spring at Misasa Onsen?
Misasa Onsen is one of the world's highest-concentration radon (radioactive) springs and is designated as a Japanese Heritage site. Radon is believed to enhance immunity and healing capacity. You can benefit not only by soaking in the water but also by inhaling the radon through the radium steam bath (mist sauna).

What kind of meals do you serve?
We serve kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) featuring abundant seasonal ingredients from Tottori's mountains and sea. You can enjoy dishes made with carefully selected ingredients in season, such as rock oysters in summer, matsuba crab in winter, and Tottori beef (Tottori black wagyu).
