Can I walk to the hot spring town?
The inn is in the centre of the Awara Onsen district, only about 2 minutes' walk from the neighbouring municipal public bath and the tour bus stop. Attractions such as Yukemuri Yokocho are also easy to reach.
Has the Hokuriku Shinkansen made it easier to get here from Tokyo?
With the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension to Fukui and Tsuruga, the journey from Tokyo now takes about 2 hours 50 minutes at the fastest. From JR Awara-Onsen Station it is about 15 minutes by Keifuku bus, or you can use our guest shuttle bus.

What is the food like?
The menu centres on seasonal Echizen ingredients. We serve kaiseki cuisine built around fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan along with seasonal produce from the mountains and the sea.

Yes. We have banquet rooms and meeting rooms for group trips and functions, plus facilities such as karaoke rooms and table tennis.

Yes, you can visit for day-use bathing, a lunch plan, or just the souvenir corner. It is a convenient stop while sightseeing in the hot spring town.

What is the Shichifuku bath tour?
There are seven different baths in the inn, including open-air baths, a bath with a view, a private bath, a sauna and a jacuzzi. The water is a sodium and calcium chloride spring, said to help with neuralgia, fatigue and poor circulation.

Can I visit the baths at your sister inns?
Bookings made through the official website include complimentary bathing tickets for our sister inns Yuraku and Grabar-tei, so you can try several baths in the hot spring town.
