We have three types: the special guest room "Yayoi" (with private open-air bath), a 24-mat Japanese-Western room, and a 12-mat Japanese room. The detached suite room "Fumi" is a private space focused room.

The carbonated mineral spring (cold spring) is best enjoyed by soaking quietly without stirring the water. Soaking 2-3 times alternately with the indoor bath or sauna yields optimal benefits. Soaking slowly for 1-2 minutes promotes blood circulation.
Do you have a private bath?
Yes, a private bath (family bath) is available for 2,500 yen per hour. Please reserve when checking in.
What are the special features of the hot spring?
Our signature is a highly concentrated carbonated mineral spring (golden color) selected for "Japan's Top 100 Turbid Hot Springs." We offer various bathing facilities including a large single-slab stone bath carved from one piece of rock, an open-air bath, a source water bath (highly concentrated carbonated mineral spring), sauna, and private baths.

Can I use it as a base for climbing Mount Takachiho?
Yes, Okukirishima Hot Spring is located at the foot of Mount Takachiho, the legendary site of the heavenly descent. You can use it as a base to relax in the hot springs after climbing.

What kind of meals are provided?
The popular 'Sangawa Cuisine Irori Kaiseki' features local ingredients such as mountain trout grilled over an irori (sunken hearth), Miyazaki beef, carp dishes and wild vegetables. At the in-house dining 'Sansuisui', you can also enjoy local menus including live fish taken directly from fish tanks.
