Is there a shuttle service?
We operate a free shuttle between Owani Onsen Station and Fujiya Hotel (booking required by the previous day). Pick-up runs 14:00-18:30 (timed to train arrivals) and drop-off 7:00-11:00 (timed to train departures). From Aomori Airport it is about 50 minutes by taxi.

Check-in is 15:00-22:00 and check-out is 10:00. On plans including dinner, the latest check-in may be 19:00. Times vary by plan, so please check.

What sightseeing spots are there around Owani Onsen?
The town of Owani Onsen, with eight centuries of history, has nine simple public bathhouses where you can also mingle with local people. The Owani Onsen ski resort is nearby, and the foot of Mount Ajara offers sports facilities including golf, tennis and camping. Hirosaki Castle and central Hirosaki are also easily reached.

How many rooms are there and what types?
There are 37 rooms in total, in Japanese style and Japanese-Western style. All rooms have a television with free satellite channels, a telephone, a kettle and a tea set. Amenities including soap, shampoo, conditioner, a toothbrush, a razor, a yukata and slippers are also provided.

When was the property founded?
It was founded in 1926 (Taisho 15). Beginning as a single house amid the rice fields, it overcame repeated floods to build the foundations of the hot spring inn it is today.

What are the qualities and benefits of the hot spring?
The water is 100% from the source and is known for a wide range of benefits, including neuralgia, muscle ache, joint pain, frozen shoulder, motor paralysis, chronic digestive complaints, poor circulation, recovery from fatigue, arteriosclerosis, chronic skin conditions and chronic gynaecological conditions. From the open-air bath you can bathe while taking in the changing seasons of Tsugaru.
What kinds of baths are there?
There is an open-air bath, a communal bath and a sauna. Our pride is the communal bath with water flowing directly from the source and the open-air bath where you can feel the nature of Tsugaru.
