How do I get there from Kyoto or Osaka?
About 3 hours from Kyoto Station on the JR limited express Hashidate, about 3 hours 30 minutes from Osaka Station on the limited express Kounotori, or about 3 hours 20 minutes from Himeji Station on the limited express Hamakaze. From Yuhigaura-Kitsuonsen Station it is about 5 minutes by car.

What happens if I miss the sunset?
Accommodation members of the Yuhigaura Tourist Association give guests who could not see the sunset because of rain or cloud a Sunset Revenge Ticket, a 500-yen voucher to use on your next stay.

What is the best way to book?

What is the view from the open-air bath?
The open-air bath faces the Sea of Japan, so you can bathe looking at the blue sea by day and the stars at night. In the evening there is the magnificent sight of the sun setting into the Sea of Japan.
What are the qualities and benefits of Yuhigaura Onsen?
Yuhigaura Onsen is a hypotonic, weakly alkaline hot spring, known as the bath of beauty. It is highly praised for leaving the skin smooth and is also held to help with neuralgia and fatigue. The baths in the rooms also use hot spring water.

The inn is right beside Yuhigaura beach, within walking distance, so in summer you can combine swimming with the hot spring.

Is there a free pick-up service, and where from?
There is a free pick-up from Yuhigaura-Kitsuonsen Station on the Kyoto Tango Railway. Please tell us your bus stop and arrival time by the day before your stay. We also cover the bus stops at Mineyama Station for guests coming from Osaka and Amino Station for those coming from Kyoto.
