Check-in is 15:00 and check-out is 10:00. On a day plan you can check in before midday and enjoy the baths and a meal.

Is it suitable for a group of women or a family?
It suits a wide range of occasions: gatherings of friends, mothers and daughters, couples, families and groups. You can relax in the spacious setting of a hot spring inn beside a mountain stream.

What room types are there?
There are several types, including characterful Japanese rooms and rooms with Japanese-style beds. Some plans give you an open-air bath in your room, with the natural setting of Settsukyo to yourself.

Yes, there is a good range of day plans. You can check in before midday and enjoy a meal and the baths, and the inn can also be used for meetings and for group lunches and dinners.

What are the qualities of the hot spring?
We have two hot springs of our own. Source 1 is an alkaline simple spring rich in radon, used in the indoor rock bath; source 2 is an alkaline pure sodium bicarbonate spring, used in the open-air bath looking down over the Akutagawa valley. Source 2 is 2.5 times the standard hot spring concentration and is highly effective both for the skin and as a therapeutic spring. The water is approved for drinking by the health authorities, and coffee made with it is also served.

Yes, our hot spring water is approved for drinking by the health authorities. In the tea room you can also have coffee made with the hot spring water.

What is there to see in each season?
Mountain cherry in spring, sweetfish fishing and fireflies in summer, autumn leaves in autumn: the nature of Settsukyo can be enjoyed all year. The inn stands at a scenic spot along the Akutagawa River in Takatsuki, where you can experience rich nature close to the city.

A free shuttle bus runs from JR Takatsuki Station (two departures, at 15:30 and 17:00, booking required). Please book in advance if you would like to use it.

How do I get there?
From JR Takatsuki Station by free shuttle bus (departing 15:30 and 17:00, booking required) or about 15 minutes by taxi. By car, from Ibaraki IC or Oyamazaki IC on the Meishin Expressway via Route 171 into Takatsuki, then north from the Imashiro junction for about 10 minutes, inside Settsukyo Park.
