What activities are there nearby?
There is something in every season: skiing (several slopes nearby), snowshoeing, lure fishing, cycling, smelt fishing and climbing Mount Bandai.

There are 17 rooms in all: 12 in the main building and 4 in the annex (Aalto Lodge). All 17 are different in design, with different views of the forest, the ponds and Mount Bandai.

What is the hot spring like?
The water comes from the Benten no Yu source on the grounds (50 degrees, flowing at 101 litres per minute) and is used without recirculation. There are two bathing areas of different character, in the main building and the annex, both with sulphur water.

Is there a shuttle from Inawashiro Station?
There is a free shuttle bus from Inawashiro Station (departing 14:45, booking required). The return service leaves the hotel at 11:45. Please see the official website for details and booking.

What is the food like?
Both dinner and breakfast are courses made by the chef using carefully chosen local ingredients. Japanese techniques are worked in so the dishes can be eaten with chopsticks. Enjoy them with Fukushima sake and sparkling wine.
