How do I get there by train and bus?
Take the JR Oga Line from Akita Station for about 50 minutes to Hadachi Station, change to an Oga Hokusen bus for about 45 minutes, get off at the Onsen Chuo stop and walk about 1 minute. Alternatively, use the free shuttle bus from JR Oga Station (booking required).

What are the hot spring and open-air bath like?
Ishiyama-no-Yu is an open-air bath facing a large inner garden where wild flowers bloom through the seasons, so the view changes with the time of year. The natural hot spring water flows continuously from the source, a sodium chloride spring.

Is there a free shuttle bus, and do I need to book?
A free shuttle bus runs from JR Oga Station. Pick-ups are timed to JR arrivals in the 14:00 and 16:00 hours. Departures from the hotel are at 8:10 and 9:40. Booking by two days beforehand is required, so please arrange it in advance.

Our hotel is the birthplace of Oga's famous ishiyaki cooking. Stones heated to about 800 degrees Celsius are used in a dramatic preparation you watch in front of you, giving a taste of Oga's food culture.

About 45 minutes by Oga Hokusen bus from Hadachi Station on the JR Oga Line, alighting at the Onsen Chuo stop, then about 1 minute on foot. About 40 km and 50 minutes from Showa-Ogahanto IC on the Akita Expressway. A free shuttle bus runs from JR Oga Station (booking required by two days beforehand).
