How do I get there from Mishima Station, and what about the shuttle bus?
A scheduled shuttle bus runs from the north exit of JR Mishima Station (departing 14:20; booking required for Mishima Station only), taking about 40 minutes. From Izu-Nagaoka Station on the Izuhakone Railway it is about 10 minutes by local bus or taxi. By car it is about 25 minutes from Numazu IC on the Tomei Expressway.

What is distinctive about the hot spring and bathing halls?
Izu-Nagaoka Onsen has more than a thousand years of history, and its strongly alkaline natural water at pH 9.0 is used without recirculation. We have two sources on the grounds and 15 kinds of bath in the all-hinoki bathing complex Manten no Yu Yumedono. The 300-tatami great hinoki bath, modelled on the Yumedono hall at Horyuji, is a spectacular sight.

What is dinner like?
In the restaurant, renewed in summer 2024, we serve a buffet of about 50 Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes with plenty cooked in front of you. Sushi, meat dishes, freshly fried tempura and Chinese dishes are all unlimited.

There is parking for 130 cars, free of charge. There is no height limit, and coaches can park at the main building only (not at Yuyukan or Waraku).
