How do I get there from Sendai?
A free shuttle bus for hotel guests runs from the east exit of JR Sendai Station (departing 13:30, about 100 minutes), by advance booking. By car it is just under 2 hours from Sendai (about 20 minutes after leaving the Sanriku Expressway at Monou-Tsuyama IC).

What is the storyteller bus?
It is a bus tour run so that the memory of the Great East Japan Earthquake is not lost, on which a local storyteller recounts what happened.
Are there stargazing sessions?
Star parties are held on the roof. With few lights nearby, the sky is like a natural planetarium. Please see the official website for dates.

The rooms in the east wing look out over Shizugawa Bay, where you can also watch the sunrise. The panoramic sea view through the wide windows is much praised.

What hot spring facilities are there?
We use deep natural hot spring water rising from 2,000 m underground. The infinity bath, which seems to merge with the sea, is popular, and the open-air bath and large bathing hall look out over the Pacific.

What is the food like?
Our pride is dishes made with fresh seafood from the Sanriku coast. Seasonal plans are extensive, featuring live-grilled abalone, sea urchin rice bowls, Shizugawa octopus and braised shark fin.
Can you cater for allergies?
