How do I get there by car?
About 35 minutes from Hanazono IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway towards Chichibu and Nagatoro. On National Route 140, turn towards Mount Minoyama at the Minano Town Hall junction. Parking is free.

How do I get there by train, and is there a shuttle?
There is a free shuttle bus from Minano Station on the Chichibu Railway (departing 15:30, booking essential). A shuttle also leaves Seibu-Chichibu Station at 15:00 (for groups of 10 or more only). By taxi it is about 7 minutes from Minano Station.

Are there nature tours?
We hold seasonal nature tours for guests only: a sea-of-clouds tour, stargazing and night-view tours, nature walks, poppy viewing, illuminated autumn colours and illuminated ice pillars.

Is there anything to be aware of in winter?
The inn stands at 417 m on a hilltop, so we ask guests to fit studless tyres in winter. Access may also be difficult after heavy snow, so please check in advance.

Can I use the inn for training or a camp?
The inn is used for corporate and organisational training as well as club and university seminar camps. Good-value camp plans amid the nature of Chichibu are available.

What room types are there, and how many guests do they take?
The rooms are mainly Japanese style: 7.5-mat (4 guests), 10-mat (5 guests) and 24.5-mat (12 guests), 27 in all out of 30 rooms. They suit groups and families.

Can I use the baths without staying overnight?
Day-use bathing in the herbal baths is available every day. We also take day-use function bookings, so you can use the facilities without staying.

What is distinctive about the baths?
There is the large hot spring bath with a view, Kuma-san-no-Yu, a chloride spring using natural hot spring water from Toki-no-Yu in Kumagaya City, which keeps you warm through its moisturising effect. There are also seasonal herbal baths using wild plants gathered in the hills. Day-use bathing is available every day.

Under a commitment to local produce for local use, we serve home-made regional dishes: udon and soba noodles made fresh each morning, home-made konnyaku, tofu made from Chichibu soybeans, and Chichibu rice cooked over a wood-fired stove.
