What is the route by car?
From Morioka IC on the Tohoku Expressway, take Route 46 towards Lake Tazawa; it is about 10 minutes on from near Tazawako Station. The whole journey from Morioka IC takes about 50 minutes. There is free parking for 500 cars.

What amenities are provided?
The rooms have yukata, slippers, a tea pot, a face towel, a bath towel and a toothbrush. The front desk provides razors, shower caps, cotton pads, hairdryers and humidifiers.

What sights are there nearby?
The Tazawako Great Kannon statue is about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. The hotel makes an ideal base for the leading sights of northern Tohoku, including Lake Tazawa, the deepest lake in Japan (with the Tatsuko statue and Ukigi Shrine), the samurai district of Kakunodate, and Towada-Hachimantai National Park.

Is it suitable for families with children?
We came third in the family category for the Tohoku region in the hot spring inn and hotel awards, and we are a popular resort hotel with families. Facilities include a children's play area and a lounge with free drinks.

How many rooms are there, and what types?
There are 80 rooms, simple and comfortable with everything you need. We take care over the bedding, and the rooms look out over Lake Tazawa, the deepest in Japan, and the surrounding hills and woods.

What bathing halls are there?
There are two bathing halls, Katakuri no Yu and Komakusa no Yu, each with an indoor and an open-air bath, swapped between morning and evening. The natural hot spring lets you bathe while taking in the scenery of each season.

Is there a shuttle from Tazawako Station?
There is a free shuttle bus from Tazawako Station. Please book by telephone on 0187-46-2016 by 17:00 the day before. The journey from the station to the hotel takes about 10 minutes. Note that we do not run a shuttle to the Tazawako ski area.

Is there a restaurant? Can meals be served in my room?
Meals are served only in the restaurant. Please note that we do not serve meals in the rooms.
What is the dinner buffet like?
It is a buffet of about 60 Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes, including local Akita specialities, beef steak cooked on a hotplate and hand-formed sushi. The menu reflects the season and the region.

How do I get there?
About 20 minutes by bus from Tazawako Station on the JR Akita Shinkansen (about 50 minutes from Morioka IC). A free shuttle bus runs from Tazawako Station (telephone booking required by 17:00 the day before). Free parking for 500 cars.
