There is a private bath called "Goten-yu" (reservation required, fee applies). The spacious open-air bath is popular and safe for families with children.
Can I use the bath for the day without staying overnight?
You can use the day-use public bath "Santouka" (8:00–23:00, last entry 22:00). The fee is 850 yen on weekdays and 1,050 yen on weekends and holidays.
What is the water quality of Kawatana Onsen?
The water quality is sodium-calcium chloride spring water. It is characterized by mild, smooth water and can be enjoyed in the large public bath, private bath, and hot spring guest rooms. It is a historic hot spring that has been flowing continuously for many years.
